some rambles

hai again!! it's bee :3, i don't really have much to write about today but there are two things i want to mention quickly so that will be my post today :D

linux install updates!!

first things first, update on my linux install! this is the first time i've used linux as a daily driver for my desktop in probably years, and im running hyprland with nvidia which has been interesting! i've never really played around with tiling compositors / window managers before but its been really fun and i actually prefer this over stacking (i think stacking is the correct term for it?) window managers.

anyway, another thing. as a response to a comment to my last post about my linux install, i stated

"gaming is a dream i gave up on in this install as even something light like osu! i get only ~40fps on, that + FL studio are the last things keeping my windows installation around,,"

and i am happy to say that i have (partially) fixed one out of two of those things !! i realised my performance problems on osu! were due to not having the correct drivers installed, the github repo of osu-winello (a tool i use to setup osu! stable on wine for me automatically) says

"Keep in mind that osu! needs lib32 drivers in order to run as it should, so if you're having performance problems, it's probably related to this."

I was a bit stupid, and missed this entirely when i installed it, doing this fixed most of my performance issues, however i still felt something was off with my gameplay on linux so i kept playing on windows.

well today i wanted to do some casual osu!standard gaming without rebooting into windows so decided to just play through wine, and to my surprise:

"huh, thats a new play in my top 10 best plays"

somehow, completely randomly, i managed to get another play within my top 10 highest performance point plays of all time, currently my 6th top play and the first new play in my top 10 in months, which is interesting considering playing on linux "felt off" to me before this for whatever reason.

but yeah! so hopefully this means i have one less reason to reboot into windows! now i just have to fix all my fl studio issues :3

new website!!

like i said in my previous post, i'm working on a site to replace the current landing page,,, thing over at frizzbees.dev, now i haven't worked on it too much (i've been procrastinating hard LOL) but i have a basic idea down for it and i've started work on it! and i'm liking how it looks right now :3, i'm definitely not a designer or a web dev so everything that looks nice takes me 100x longer than it should, but here's what i have so far :3

it's not much, but i'm liking how it looks so far!

the background image is from milk outside of a bag of milk outside of a bag of milk, by the way, it's a game i quite enjoyed when i played it a while back, you can find it on steam or itch (linked) !! my site is inspired by a lot of browsing i did of neocities / nekoweb sites!! i saw a few sites that split their stuff into boxes like that and i liked the look of them so i'm going for a similar thing here, everything is coded so horribly but it works!!!!
